This year's conference was co-sponsored by the IRS and the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, and was held at the Urban Institute in Washington, DC. The program included 12 papers on a wide range of topics relevant to tax administration, which were presented by IRS and academic researchers, as well as some tax officials from overseas.
2012 Research Conference Program
Registration is limited, and is now open
• IRS employees and those on the program should register by e-mail through the NHQ Office of Research.
• All others must register online at the conference web page.
Live Webcast
The conference will be streamed over the Internet so that those unable to attend in person can participate online. You will even be able to submit questions via e-mail for the discussion at the end of each of the four sessions. Go to the conference web page for more information.
Download the Presenters' Slides
Like last year, paper copies of the slides will not be distributed at the conference. So, whether you attend in person or online, if you want to follow the slides during the presentations, you will need to download them from the conference web page. We will post them there a couple of days before the conference. Note that the slides will not be visible on the video feed seen by online viewers, so you'll probably want to download them prior to the conference.
