How to Download Text (.txt) and Braille Ready File (.brf) formats
Windows Users
- Choose a file to download.
- Once you select the product, a dialog box will appear and allow you to save the file to your computer. (Some users may not see the dialog box; instead the file will automatically download to your designated download folder.)
- Activate the "Save" button.
- Select the location where you would like the file saved.
- A "Save As" dialog box will display. Activate the "Save" button.
- Locate the ZIP file on your computer and right click or press the application key.
- From the menu choose “extract all”.
- Choose where you want the files to be saved and click the “extract” button or press alt plus E.
- To view the products you’ve downloaded, navigate to the extracted files that you saved on your computer and double click or press enter to open. Some products contain multiple text-only and .brf files to accommodate size.
Apple Users
- Choose a file to download.
- Once you select the product click or press control plus options (VO) plus space bar.
- The file will download to your designated download folder.
- Locate the file in folder and press VO plus space bar to unzip.
- Locate the appropriate file from the list of unzipped files and press VO plus space bar to open.
