MAN ONE: Hey Joe, you look puzzled.
MAN TWO: Yeah, I just got this e-mail, Dave. It says the IRS wants my Social Security number, and then they’ll give me a free laptop.
MAN ONE: That doesn’t sound right. Let’s check it out at irs.gov—the official IRS site.
ANNCR: Is Joe being scammed? Find out after this.
ANNCR: So about that email. Was it a scam?
MAN TWO: Aha! It says right here the IRS doesn’t use email to start a communication with taxpayers.
MAN ONE: Wow. I could have had my identity stolen.
