Demographic Analysis

These publications provide demographic results of information obtained from taxpayer returns. This information assists the IRS in segmenting the population into various and/or specific market segments for the purpose of knowing and understanding our customers (taxpayers as well as tax professionals).

Tax Year 2009/Processing Year 2010

  • Publication 4210, Individual Nationwide Analysis - This is a demographic analysis of individual taxpayers.

  • Publication 4425, Business Nationwide Analysis - This analysis includes Business Returns Forms 1120, 1120S, 1041, 1065, 2290, 940, 941, 943, 944, and 945.
  • Publication 4829, Free File Demographics and Migration Analysis - This is a demographic and migration analysis of taxpayers who used the Free File Program.

  • Publication 4210, Individual Nationwide Analysis - This is a demographic analysis of individual taxpayers.

  • Publication 4425, Business Nationwide Analysis - This analysis includes Business Returns Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 2290, 940, 941, 943, 944, and 945.

  • Publication 4829, Free File Demographics and Migration Analysis - This is a demographic and migration analysis of traxpayers who used the Free file Program.
