If you downloaded Publication 554 before April 9, 2012, please note the following correction.
On page 10, in the paragraph titled Lump-sum distributions, the date “January 2, 1937,” should have read: "January 2, 1936."
A corrected version of the 2011 Publication 554 is now available for download.
