Clarification to the 2011 Instructions for Schedule E (Form 1040), Boxes A and B -- 28-FEB-2012
Taxpayers with more than 3 rental properties who complete more than one Schedule E (Form 1040) only need to answer Boxes A and B on the summary form. Boxes A and B relate to a general Form 1099 filing requirement and are not linked to individual properties listed in Part I of Schedule E.
