Preview Our New Site
IRS will be migrating its website, IRS.gov, to a new platform and design within the next few weeks. We will be extending recent home page design changes throughout the entire site. IRS.gov also will have a new intent-driven navigation structure based on how you have traditionally used our site. Finally, the new platform will allow IRS to deliver more, and at a faster pace, to keep up with your demand for online services.

1. Subscription Services
Get the latest news from IRS, including tax tips, legislative changes, IRS programs, and updates for tax professionals, small business, payroll providers and retirement plan administrators. You'll get regular email updates by subscribing to one of our services.
2. Non-English Content
IRS.gov supports the non-English-speaking community by providing information in five languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Russian. A language menu will be available on every page, putting you one click away from critical content written in your native language.
3. Who Are You?
The current IRS.gov navigation structure, and all the information on this site, will remain available. The "Information for..." menu, located at the top of every page, allows you to select your role (individual, business, non-profit, tax professional, retirement plan administrator, etc.) to navigate the new IRS.gov the same way you do now.
4. Search IRS.gov
We expect search to evolve as the site is used more and more. IRS.gov will leverage new search capabilities to better tag and target content to deliver the most relevant and meaningful search results. In addition, related forms and publications will be featured in a separate section on the search results page.
5. Main Navigation
After thoroughly analyzing IRS.gov usage data, we've identified the most visited pages and most used tools. As a result, we have modified our main navigation to accommodate your primary needs -- to get critical information about filing, payments, refunds, credits and forms.
6. Promotional Banner
IRS will use the promotional banner to feature timely and relevant information, updates and tools. The banner will provide a more dynamic experience designed to put the most important tools and services front and center so you can get to them more quickly.
7. Online Tools
This section provides home page access to a variety of tools designed to promote online interaction with the IRS. The list of tools will change regularly to coincide with filing and registration due dates, new program launches or system enhancements.
8. News & Updates
The middle of the home page is devoted to recent press releases and a rotating spotlight of IRS.gov highlights. You can let the spotlight run on its own, navigate using the tabs at the top or the arrows at the bottom, or use the pause button to focus on one topic.
9. Social Media
The IRS uses social media tools to share the latest information on tax changes, initiatives, products and services. Watch the featured IRS YouTube video, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or download the most recent podcast.
10. Site Footer
The new IRS.gov will display a consistent footer on every page throughout the site. The footer contains links to other sites and important information about resolving an issue, careers at IRS, and the IRS organization and performance metrics.
