IRS e-file Processing Schedule Participants Acceptance Testing (PATS) for Form 1040 Series and Electronically Transmitted Documents (ETDs) - TY2011
Software developers and transmitters must call the e-Help Desk to receive the telephone number or URL to use for transmitting files. The e-Help Desk telephone number and the transmission drain times are shown below. For more information on PATS, refer to Publication 1345, Handbook for Authorized IRS e-file Providers of Individual Income Tax Returns,; Publication 1436, Test Package for Electronic Fililng of Individual Income Tax Returns; or call the e-Help Desk.
Call the e-Help Desk for the following:
- Transmission problems;
- Reject codes;
- Status of processing;
- If you need your Acknowledgment (ACK) File "re-hung" because it appears that you did not receive it. (Contact your software developer to make sure that the software is looking for and capable of parsing out each ACK File for a transmission when multiple ACK Files are picked up.)
NOTE: Transmitters are able to reset all types of Acknowledgement Files by choosing menu option 8 from the EMS Main Menu. Transmitters must enter either the GTX Key or ACK File Reference Name. If you have difficulty, you may contact the e-Help Desk.
If you need another Test ETIN while filing production returns, contact ANSPC.

(11am & 4pm local Home Submission Processing Center time)
- March 01, 2012 – April 16, 2012 - 1 drain daily
(4pm local Home Submission Processing Center time)
- April 18, 2012 – October 17, 2012 – Wednesday drain
(4pm local Home Submission Processing Center time)
Note: There will be no processing on Federal Holidays after 04/22/2012
