Tax Trails - Amended Returns
After filing your return, you may realize you made an error. The IRS often finds and corrects many errors during the processing of returns. However, there are certain situations in which you may need to file an amended return if you wish to correct an error or request an additional refund.
Note: Do not use this tax trail if you are amending a form other than 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040NR, or 1040NR-EZ.
