TY2012 XML Schemas and Business Rules for Exempt Organizations Modernized e-file

The following links provide information and technical guidance for software developers and transmitters who are interested in developing software for the Modernized e-File Forms 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, 990-PF, 1120-POL and 8868 for Tax Year (TY) 2012. You will find the XML Schemas, Business Rules and other useful information and documents. Test scenarios are provided in Publication 4205.

Stylesheets – Forms 990/990EZ/990-PF/1120-POL/8868 and corporate Forms 1120/1120S/7004 stylesheets can be downloaded for use in displaying XML tax return data.
